Guest Lecture by Dr. Cynthia Rosenzweig on Climate research

On April 18, the Department of Sustainability and Planning will extend a warm welcome to Dr. Cynthia Rosenzweig, a Senior Research Scientist at NASA and a Professor at Barnard College. She will be awarded an honorary doctorate by Aalborg University on April 19, in recognition of her collaboration with PLAN. The lecture is open to all students and employees at AAU, as well as collaborative partners.

Dr. Cynthia Rosenzweig is a leading figure in climate research, urban sustainability, and agriculture.

Cynthia was honoured with the prestigious World Food Prize in 2022 for her groundbreaking contributions to understanding and predicting the impacts of the interaction between climate and food systems.

Additionally, she has served as co-chair of the New York City Panel on Climate Change and was the lead author in Working Group II (WGII) for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's (IPCC) Fourth Assessment Report (AR4), which was recognized with the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 along with Al Gore.

With extensive citations and publications in top-tier journals like 'Nature', her impact on understanding climate change is profound.
